Maryann Wright is a freelance writer specialising in the LGBT+ community, theatre, and travel. She runs the LGBT+ company Sappho Events and is an independent theatre producer for new musicals and plays. Previously, Maryann worked as an arts journalist in Australia at news.com.au, and has been published by The Guardian (Australia), Daily Express (UK), Herald Sun (Australia), The Korea Herald (South Korea), and several international theatre publications.
