Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Max Power Racing HHHH

PlayStation Dedicated readers will know that Max Power is a monthly magazine based around some of the meanest-looking cars known to man. Now the Max Power people have linked up with Infogames to produce Max Power Racing. From start to finish, Max Power oozes speed and action. The gameplay is very quick, and the competition is extremely hard. Players have to complete the tough tracks to release all the cars. Easy to pick up, Max Power is one of the most playable racers yet, so it's tmie to put your pedal to the metal.

Premier Manager '99 HHHH

PlayStation Premier Manager, one of the greatest series of management games to date, is making its second outing on the PlayStation in Premier Manager '99, endorsed by the mighty Kevin Keegan. Once again Gremlin has produced a superb title - the gameplay has been made more user-friendly, while the transfer system has been improved to make it more realistic. Up to four players can battle it out for either the Italian or English Championship, as well as European glory. A worthy addition to the series.

Pool Shark HHH

PlayStation With the Mosconi Cup not long passed, pool has become a really popular sport in recent times. To mark this sudden rise of interest, Gremlin have released Pool Shark, the first pool game on the PlayStation. This is one of the most accurate cue-sport computer games yet. The tutorials can help if you are having trouble, or for the more expert player there are tournament options. The graphics are superb, but the gameplay is repetitive. Although Pool Shark is a realistic game, it is best suited to lovers of cue sports.
