Two Pints Of Lager and a Packet of Crisps set to return for a one-off special
The sitcom is back by popular demand, according to actor Will Mellor

Beloved BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps will be returning for a one-off special, according to actor Will Mellor.
He made the announcement via an Instagram video post, acknowledging fans’ numerous requests for the show’s return. He’s currently working with the creator, Susan Nickson, and a special will “hopefully” be coming soon.
“Recently, since Two Pints came back – it is on at 11 o’clock every night on Gold, they are showing every episode – people have been messaging me about how much they miss the show and how much it was part of their growing up, saying ‘Please bring it back for a special or do something’” he said in the video.
He continued: “Well, I have been listening and reading your messages and I think we are going to get a Two Pints special off the ground.
“I spoke to Susan Nickson [the show’s creator] and we are hopefully going to try and get a Two Pints special going. Just to say thank you for all the support of people who love the show and got behind it.
“Watch this space, just got to dot the Is and cross the Ts and hopefully a Two Pints special will be on the way.”
This comes after a Gavin and Stacey Christmas special was also confirmed to be released later this year, although Sheridan Smith will not be reprising her role.
James Corden spoke to The Times about revisiting the show: “We owed it to the characters. Let’s see what they’re doing. We wanted to see if there was something there.”
The nine-season sitcom ran from 2001 until 2011, and starred semi-professional footballer Ralf Little, Sheridan Smith, Natalie Casey and Kathryn Drysdale.
