Netflix has revealed an exclusive first-look at its Drake-produced Top Boy reboot to The Independent, featuring clips and images Ashley Walters, Kano and the rest of the cast in character.

The revival sees Walters reprise his role as drug dealer Dushane alongside Kane “Kano” Robinson as his “spiritual brother” Sully. The two can be seen alongside Jasmine Jobson as Jaq in the video above.

In the new series, Dushane returns from exile to his London home to take back his throne in the capital’s drug market and joins forces with Sully, who is returning to the same streets after leaving prison.

Top Boy on Netflix: exclusive first look featuring Shelley, Jamie and Modie

A ruthless young gang leader named Jamie (newcomer Micheal Ward), however, is waiting for them, and there’s no space in his world for Dushane and Sully.

Rappers Dave and Little Simz join the cast of the reboot as Modie and Shelley, respectively.

Top Boy’s new season is executive produced by Drake and his business partner Adel “Future” Nur, along with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for SpringHill Entertainment.

The original Top Boy series ran for two four-episode seasons on Channel 4 in 2011 and 2013. It was then announced in late 2017 that Drake and Netflix were collaborating on a reboot.

Top Boy season three will debut on Netflix in Autumn 2019.
