The Walking Dead season 8 to feature first 'fully nude' zombie walker
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. If there's one thing I'm sure we can all agree on, it's that there is not enough zombie genitals in The Walking Dead and it strains believability not having a Walker just being themselves and flaunting their curves.
Fortunately, this will be remedied in the second half of season 8 with, you guessed it, a nude walker. A "fully nude" walker at that.
“There’s an episode where we did our first fully nude walker. We’ve never done that before," executive producer Greg Nicotero told Entertainment Weekly.
Sadly, he didn't elaborate as to why the zombie will be naked, so we're left to imagine whether he or she will have just emerged from the shower or be getting beach body-ready in the Georgia sunshine.
It's not just walkers who have protected their modesty in the show thus far, which, curiously given the high levels of gore, shies away from nudity and only recently got a bit more relaxed about swearing.
The second half of The Walking Dead season 8 will arrive on 25 February.
