From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Titled 'Wrath,' this weekend's episode - expected to show the conclusion of All Out War - will feature a rare flashback showing a time before the zombie apocalypse.
This flashback will mark the brief return of Carl, who tragically died earlier this season, although it'll be a much younger version of the character as seen in a brand new still released by AMC.
It seems the scene will reflect one of the moments Carl shared with his father, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), as referenced in the letter he left him before succumbing to his walker bite.
Last week's episode saw the content of Carl's letters to both his father and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) revealed - you can find the full transcript of both here.
The most shocking moment of the show's eighth run arrived in the midseason finale which ended with the shock reveal that Carl - who was played by Chandler Riggs since 2010 - had been bitten by a walker with the actor himself later confirming his character would die in the very next episode.
The actor branded the decision as “devastating” adding that he “never expected” to be killed off.
The Walking Dead season 8 continues on AMC every Sunday with the UK premiere arriving the next evening on FOX as well as being available to stream on NOW TV.
