The Walking Dead season seven finale featured a cameo from one of the show's most beloved deceased characters.
Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) - who perished at the hands of Negan in the controversial season seven premiere - returned in a series of flashback scenes showing a conversation between him and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) which took place at Alexandria in the preceding days before he got his head beaten in by The Saviours' leader's baseball bat.
The conversation sees the mustachioed soldier how he's going to help Rick take an ailing Maggie to the hilltop - a journey which ended in their capture by The Saviours. Sasha begs him not to go, telling her she had a dream that he died. Sasha recalls the moment in a coffin as she's driven back to Alexandria having taken the poison supplied to her by Eugene (Josh McDermitt) in last week's episode, killing herself.
As Negan opens the coffin, a reanimated Sasha emerges almost taking him out and sparking the start of the war between Alexandria and The Saviours (not to mention the double crossing of Jadis and The Junkyard people).
The Walking Dead season seven concludes in the UK tonight (3 April) at 9pm on FOX.
