Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Have you started breathing again following last week's intense episode of The Walking Dead - the one which centred on Daryl's imprisonment at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)?
Well, you've only got a few days to muster up the courage to continue - and etch "Easy Street" from the pangs of your memory - as episode four is almost upon us.
This time we're back with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and co for the first time since the traumatic season opener that saw the death of two main characters.
When's it on?
What's it called?
This week's instalment is titled 'Service' which we can only assume alludes to one thing - the work our crew must do for Negan and his Saviours.
What can we expect?
A return to Alexandria
Having spent episode two with Carol, Morgan and new addition King Ezekiel (not forgetting his pet tiger, Shiva), and episode three with Daryl at the Sanctuary, this week will see the majority of The Walking Dead's characters converge at Alexandria Safe-Zone - including a bruised-looking Daryl.
Lots of Negan
With Morgan now a part of the main cast, the writers are clearly relishing the opportunity to pen dialogue for such a fearsome character.
More Saviours
Negan's brought an entire squad of Saviours with him for the journey, including Dwight (Austin Amelio). Quite why they're there, we don't know but we're sure it has something to do with the 'service' he expects from them; you know, the one in exchange for him not beating them all to death with Lucille.
Feature length
Oh yeah, this week's episode is a feature-length special clocking up an additional running time of around 15-20 minutes. What this could mean for our gang, we're ont sure; the best case scenario? 15 more thrilling minutes. The worst... Well, see below.
Bloodshed
Call us pessimistic, but the feature-length running time suggests that another character could be about to bite the dust. Nothing would solidify Negan's rule more than him reigning Lucille down on yet another unsuspecting character - especially considering Alexandria is home to plenty of extraneous people. Watch out, Spencer (Austin Nichols).
The Walking Dead airs in the US on Sundays with a UK airdate following a day later at 9pm on FOX
