From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Walking Dead has quickly become much more than just a cult phenomenon, with hundreds of thousands of fans eagerly awaiting the show’s season six return later this month.

Over the course of those 75 episodes, we’ve followed Rick Grimes, Genn Rhee and Daryl Dixon fight for survival, while having also saying goodbye to comic book favourites Andrea, Tyreese Williams and Shane Walsh.

However, there are probably a couple of things you still don't know about the show, like the show's title card has been decaying ever so slightly every season.

Luckily, the guys over at Cinematica have done another one of their famed ‘107 facts you should know’ videos, this time on the AMC series. Watch below.

Other nice bits from the video: episode four ‘Slabtown’ was named after a real place overrun by vigilantes, and, apparently, Norman Reedus has Andrew Lincoln’s beard shavings and Scott Wilson’s ponytail in his fridge. Reedus also cried for over an hour before shooting Beth’s death scene because he’s a softy in real life.

The Walking Dead will return on 15 February at 9pm on Fox in the UK, with no more breaks this season.
