From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. A brand new series of comedy series The Trip has begun filming.

Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan will both return for the next instalment that will see the duo venture to Greece.

Earlier this year, Brydon teased the new series with a photo he had alongside Coogan that was captioned: “Lunch with a friend to discuss The Trip To Greece."

The Trip – co-created by Brydon, Coogan and director Michael Winterbottom – began on BBC Two in 2010 with a series that saw them embark on a restaurant tour of northern England. Later outings saw them repeat the formula in Italy and Spain. The latter series aired in 2017.

Episodes were eventually cut together into a feature-length film by IFC Films.

In the series, the actors play fictional versions of themselves.

Coogan recently reprised the character of Alan Partridge for This Time, a brand new BBC series that was acclaimed by critics and viewers alike.

It's currently unknown which impressions he'll tackle alongside Brydon in The Trip to Greece.

The Trip To Greece will be broadcast on Sky One and Now TV in 2020
