The Night Manager season 2: Hugh Laurie says there is a 'glimmer of a possibility'
He added that he 'hears rumblings' about a follow up series

Your support makes all the difference.Although both Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston have said a second series of The Night Manager will not happen (plus the show's writer has said he is not keen on a sequel) those rumours around another series just won’t go away.
In a recent interview with The Mirror, Laurie elected to fuel the rumours, telling the tabloid ahead of the show’s US release: “There is a glimmer of a possibility, I can’t say more than that.
“It’s actually not my place to say it because I wouldn’t be the one to write it, or construct it, and I don’t even know what story, and who would be involved in constructing that story, but I hear rumblings.”
The show was a huge success in the UK on BBC One, with US network AMC hoping for big numbers: “AMC very much have their fingers crossed for how this goes,” Laurie added. “They’ll obviously be curious to how this goes over with an American audience.”
Lord Sandy Langbourne actor Alistair Petrie previously said that “everyone is up” for returning to the show, adding: “Where the story might go and with who is very hard to say but it is conceivable that a series two might happen and I think it would be such a shame if it didn’t.”
The Night Manager follows Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston), a former soldier tasked with infiltrating the inner circle of ruthless arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie).
Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, and Elizabeth Debicki also starred while Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier directed all six episodes.
