From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

It may not be a full house but two of The Inbetweeners' cast members are to reunite on the channel that originally launched their beloved sitcom.

Joe Thomas and James Buckley - who memorably played Simon and Jay in the comedy series - are to team up for a new series that'll be co-written by The Inbetweeners' co-creator Damon Beasley.

Details on the series have come fresh from Buckley himself, reports The Sun, who has revealed that the show will debut on E4 in the latter stages of next year.

Speaking on the latest Dream Team, podcast, the actor said: "It's going to be set in Essex in the Eighties.”

The Inbetweeners originally ran from 2008 to 2010 before the gang returned in two successful feature films - the first in 2012 with the follow-up arriving in 2014; they became two of the highest-grossing British comedies of all time.

With a dedicated fanbase, the series made stars of both Thomas and Buckley as well as co-stars Simon Bird (Will) and Blake Harrison (Neil). Bird went on to star in Channel 4 sitcom Friday Night Dinner while Harrison recently appeared in the big-screen adaptation of classic comedy Dad's Army.
