The Inbetweeners get the FaceApp treatment for '2060 sequel' thanks to James Buckley
Here’s what the hapless friends would look like in a third movie set 40 years in the future
Your support helps us to tell the story
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.
Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

The Inbetweeners cast has shared photos imagining what a 2060 sequel would look like, with the help of FaceApp’s aging tool.
James Buckley, who played Jay, first posted the unsettling image on Instragram with the jokey caption: “The 1st official photo of the 3rd Inbetweeners movie has been released.”
Blake Harrison, who starred as Neil, soon followed suit, posting on Twitter: “Here’s to a reunion episode in 2060!”
The beloved sitcom, which also featured Simon Bird as Will and Joe Thomas as Simon, ran on Channel 4 from 2008 to 2010. Fans were then reunited with the hapless friends in films in 2011 and 2014.
Buckley and his co-stars came together for The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited reunion special in January, which viewers described as “awkward”. Buckley later admitted on his podcast Completed It Mate that he had “come across as a complete moron” on the show.
