With the second season of Stranger Things long past, many are patiently awaiting the third to reach Netflix.

The Duffer Brothers are currently working on the upcoming episodes, with some casting news having now been released by the streaming service.

First up, Priah Ferguson — who has some stand-out moments as Lucas’s sister Erica in the second season — returns as a recurring character.

According to a statement from Netflix, Erica “finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat.”

Also joining the show comes Maya Thurman-Hawke — the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke — who will be a regular.

She will play Robin, “an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful. Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life… and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins.” Fans are already shipping the character as a hopeful love interest of Steve.

Meanwhile, executive producer Shawn Levy recently teased a “new evil” coming to Hawkins in season three. A release date has yet to be announced by Netflix.
