Your support makes all the difference.David Walliams has been joined by none other than famous physicist Stephen Hawking to revive a hit Little Britain sketch for Comic Relief.
Walliams is believed to have brought back his carer character Lou for the Red Nose Day skit, while Catherine Tate was spotted dressed as a nun during filming at St John’s College, Cambridge.
Hawking’s role has not yet been confirmed, although reports suggest that he will be playing himself.
It remains unknown whether or not Matt Lucas has returned to his part as fake wheelchair user Andy, but Walliams tweeted that shooting the scenes this week has been “extraordinary”.
The 43-year-old comedian won the inaugural prize for Best Judge at the National Television Awards last week, beating his Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Simon Cowell and The Great British Bake Off’s Mary Berry in the process.
Comic Relief airs on BBC1 on Friday 13 March and will be broadcast from the London Palladium for the first time.
Claudia Winkleman, Davina McCall and Lenny Henry are presenting, while Dawn French, Mr Bean and Dermot O’Leary are also on board for the comedy show.
Elsewhere, Hawking’s life has been turned into a big screen biopic with Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. The Theory of Everything is nominated for five Oscars at the Academy Awards ceremony next month.
