The actor, who became a mother for the first time in July, shared a picture to her Instagram Story on Saturday (22 August) as she received the piece of memorabilia.
The wooden throne, which was seen in the show’s controversial season finale after Sansa was crowned Queen of the North, is intricately carved with the Stark family’s grey direwolf sigils.
“Welcome home,” Turner, who also has a direwolf tattoo, captioned the post.
Turner was just 14 years old when she was first cast as Sansa Stark in HBO’s fantasy epic; she went on to play the role for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019.
The show’s final season of Game of Thrones was the cause of much controversy when it aired last year, dividing viewers to the extent that a Change.org petition was created demanding the show be remade by “competent writers”.
Last week, actor Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister throughout the show’s initial four seasons, admitted that he “would sign” the petition asking to redo the final season, after finding the show’s ending “underwhelming” and “disappointing”.
Meanwhile, actor Maisie Williams also broke her silence on the final season, saying that she “couldn’t be happier” with the ending granted to her character, Arya Stark.
