British entertainer Ronnie Corbett has died age 85, with people from around the world sharing comedic clips from throughout his career.

One that has been shared numerous times is his fantastically funny moment alongside Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant on Extras.

In it, Corbett plays an alternative version of himself in which he takes illegal drugs at the Baftas, getting both Gervais and Merchant in trouble with the ‘Bafta police’.

Best moment comes midway through the clip when Corbett - looking nervous - gets looked head to toe, followed by the brilliant line: “Corbett. It’s always bloody Corbett.”

Other famous clips to be shared widely over social media include Four Candles, in which Corbett plays a hardware shopkeeper who becomes increasingly irate when he continually misunderstands what a customer is requesting.

Celebrities and fans - including Gervais - have been paying tribute to the Two Ronnies star after his publicist confirmed his death, asking for the family’s privacy to be respected.
