Piers Morgan was called a “petty, petulant, fragile man baby” by a guest on Good Morning Britain.

During Monday (22 February) morning’s episode of the ITV programme, co-hosts Morgan and Susanna Reid discussed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s forthcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey.

One guest was author and activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, who said that Morgan was trying to “punish Harry for marrying a woman you don’t like”.

Morgan then accused her of having a “blind adulation” for the pair.

“I have no blind adulation, don’t put words in my mouth, Piers,” Mos-Shogbamimu replied, with Reid telling her co-host to “stop misdescribing people’s views”.

“She describes me the other way, it’s all fair in love and war,” Morgan said, asking Mos-Shogbamimu if she “shuddered” hearing that the couple had filmed the interview while Prince Philip was in hospital.

In response, Mos-Shogbamimu shot back: “First of all, let’s just address ‘your blind adulation’. There is no blind adulation because I might as well refer to you, Piers, as being a petty, petulant, fragile man baby who can’t get his act together because Meghan rejected you.”

Over the years, Morgan has vocally criticised Markle. However, the pair used to be friends and went for drinks in London the night before she met Prince Harry for the first time.

“I never heard from her again. Not a word. I’d been ghosted,” he wrote in a December 2018 article for the Daily Mail.

Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Winfrey will air on 8 March, with the couple discussing life in the public eye and their decision to move to the United States.
