The mix-up came during a segment with Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis as the This Morning presenters spoke to a caller who was struggling to get a refund from travel company LoveHolidays.
“It’s just the unfairness of it, I feel,” Schofield said, asking the caller: “Rebecca, if Lovehoney sent- LoveHolidays, not honey.”
With his fellow presenters Lewis and Holly Willoughby cracking up in laughter, Schofield joked: “That’s a whole different package coming through the door there. It’s a different package holiday.”
Lovehoney describes themselves as “the UK’s favourite Adult Shop”, with a note on their website reading: “We are the sexual happiness people and we are proud to make a fun and fulfilling sex life available to everyone.”
Schofield’s mistake provided the nation with some much needed hilarity, with This Morning viewers describing the slip up as a “brilliant telly moment”.
“Lovehoney? The sex toy site?! #ThisMorning,” one incredulous viewer tweeted, while another added: “What’s on your mind Mr Schofield... actually crying with laughter at that faux pas.”
“Did we really just see Phillip Schofield argue with Martin Lewis and then end the argument by mistaking Love Honey for Love Holidays,” one Twitter user wrote.
The brand themselves even responded, writing: “When you confuse your Summer hols with our Summer Sale. It happens to the best of us @schofe.”
