Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.November is a huge month for Netflix with the return of several of its acclaimed shows and the release of several high-profile films usually reserved for cinemas.
The streaming service has released its forthcoming schedule and it’s going to be yet another busy 30 days for subscribers with a bursting roster of original TV shows and licensed films to add to their respective lists.
Among the biggest titles to be released is the service’s original series, House of Cards, which will return for its sixth and final season while Narcos returns with a revamped cast (Michael Pena and Edgar Ramirez) for its brand new run, subtitled Mexico.
Michael Douglas heads up The Kominsky Method, a new series from sitcom-producing powerhouse Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory), while mystery crime drama The Sinner returns with Carrie Coon succeeding Jessica Biel in the lead role.
Film-wise, medieval Chris Pine vehicle Outlaw King – directed by Hell or High Water‘s David Mackenzie – will be released as will the Coen brothers’ Western anthology The Ballad of Buster Scruggs which has received rave reviews following its festival premiere a few months back.
Then there’s The Other Side of the Wind, a previously unfinished film from Hollywood icon Orson Welles which has been completed and restored for the streaming service – the journey of which has been charted in new documentary They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, also released this month.
Remember last year’s festive sleeper hit A Christmas Prince? Its sequel, The Royal Wedding, will also be added this month.
You can find the full list below.
