Meghan Markle could be leaving US drama Suits, according to reports.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the legal drama is close to confirming an eighth season, while Markle and co-star Patrick J Adams “plot their exit”.

Markle and Adams' characters, Rachel Zane and Mike Ross, are engaged in the popular TV show, with Hello! magazine reporting that the couple's wedding has already been shot.

Rumours have long circulated about the 36-year-old leaving the show, as she spends more time with boyfriend Prince Harry in London and predictions of a royal wedding on the horizon increase.

Harry has already taken the star to Buckingham Palace to meet his grandmother the Queen, whose permission they need to marry.

Markle, who shot to fame playing paralegal-turned-lawyer Zane in the USA Network drama, has also been involved in philanthropy and charity work, like Harry.

She met the royal in July 2016, and said in a Vanity Fair article in September: “We're two people who are really happy and in love.”
