Lynda Carter has revealed she is still in possession of her original Wonder Woman bracelets.

The actor wore the cuffs while portraying the superhero on the eponymous TV series between 1975 and 1979.

In the DC Universe, Wonder Woman’s cuffs serve a defensive purpose and can be used for protection against many threats, including bullets.

“For many years, Wonder Woman fans have asked: Do you still have the bracelets?” Carter wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“I think there’s a certain association between a superhero and her costume or accessories that makes the bracelets so appealing.

“Here’s the secret, though: it was never about the bracelets. The power of Wonder Woman lies within every woman and girl who dares to be bold and brave in this world.”

Carter, who shared a photo of herself wearing one of the iconic bracelets, added: “That said ... the answer is yes.

“I do have the bracelets, and wearing them still makes me feel like a total bada**!”

In recent years, Carter has appeared in the series Supergirl, based on the DC Comics character of the same name, as US President Olivia Marsdin.

Gal Gadot portrays Wonder Woman in the 2017 film devoted to the superhero.

A sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, is currently scheduled for release in October 2020 after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
