Jack Perry, one of two children his father had with his former wife Rachel “Minnie” Sharp, posted a couple of family photos on Instagram on Wednesday, along with the touching message.
One of the images shows Jack, a professional wrestler known as Jungle Boy, standing on a ring while his father watches in the background.
The other photo is a childhood snap of a Jack as a boy, smiling next to his father.
“He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad,” Jack wrote of Luke, who died on Monday after suffering from a serious stroke. “He loved supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be.”
Addressing his father directly, Jack added: “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for.
“I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth.
“I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud.
“I love you Dad.”
Luke, a Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, was part of the Riverdale cast at the time of his death. Many celebrities, including some of his former co-stars, have publicly paid homage to the late actor.
