Having debuted in Jessica Jones earlier this year, Mike Colter returns as Cage, while we are also treated to the surprise reappearance of Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
The trailer features the first appearances of Mahershala Ali as Harlem's Paradise nightclub owner Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes and Simone Missick as Misty Knight. Watch the trailer above.
The synopsis of the series reads: When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.
Luke Cage will debut later this year and will be followed soon after by Iron Fist. Then, in late 2017, the duo will team-up with Jessica Jones and Daredevil to form The Defenders, an Avengers-style mini-series.
Luke Cage reaches Netflix 30 Septemeber.
