Luisa Zissman, the former star of The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother, has shared a video of her emotional reaction to being reunited with her dead horse.

The animal, named Madrono, was put to sleep after being diagnosed with cancer.

However, Madrono was then stuffed by professional taxidermist Simon Wilson, and unveiled to Zissman in a video which she shared to Instagram.

In the video, the horse is kept behind a red sheet. After the sheet is removed, Zissman bursts into tears, and a friend can be heard consoling her.

Alongside the video and pictures of the horse on Instagram, Zissman wrote: “The day we were reunited. I know I’m weird, I know this isn’t normal but when Madrono had to be PTS due to melanomas (cancer) I was shattered. I had seen @simon_the_stuffa amazing work and he was the first person I called.

“I can’t describe the overwhelming heartbreak when Madrono died I spent a week in bed and got stress induced vertigo (pathetic I know).”

Zissman, who was the runner-up on The Apprentice’s ninth season and subsequently presented for Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, said that it was “incredible” to see her horse again.

“He’s perfect, his kind eyes are exactly the same, the little swirls in his coat, his beautiful mane all so perfect,” she added.

“Thank you @simon_the_stuffa and your team. You really have made me so happy! (Even though I’m ugly crying)”

She also clarified that his “balls are still intact”.

“Madrono will take pride of place in the entrance hall of my new house,” she said.
