From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. ITV has confirmed that the contestant will be seen departing the Spanish villa on Tuesday night's episode (13 June).
The shock departure of Niall Aslam, a fan favourite, will be announced by Dr Alex George who tells the group: “For personal reasons, unfortunately, he can’t continue or come back to the Villa.”
It comes as quite a surprise to Georgia who found herself coupled up with Niall after her arrival a few days after the show begin.
Speaking about his exit, she says: “I was coupled up with him so obviously I came closer to him than most people in here but it wasn’t just that. He was actually my friend, my buddy.”
Alex adds: “I'm obviously sad that Niall's left the villa. We got on really, really well. He's such a great guy. And I look forward to catching up with him and having some fun with him outside.”
Last night's episode saw the fallout of the reality series' surprise arrival of three new contestants that made good on its promise to shake things up.
Samira, who had gone a full week without a date, got not one but two tonight as she got to know Josh and Charlie a little better despite reserving her interest for the latter as it emerged they have previous chatting on dating apps before the series began.
