Dunham, who created the award-winning HBO series, acted out the part of Eve in the Garden of Eden for “Girl”.

An also nude Taran Killam portrayed Dunham’s Girls love interest, Adam Driver’s Adam, with Vanessa Bayer playing a snake version of Shoshanna.
“Can you please not apple shame me right now? Dunham asked God before eating the forbidden fruit. “Seriously, I know I committed original sin, but at least it’s original. I think I deserve some credit for that. Or at least a publishing deal.”
Being in her birthday suit didn’t seem to faze the 27-year-old actress, who joked about her unusual situation from the offset.
“There is an old saying, if you’re nervous about giving a speech, just imagine the audience naked,” she said. “Or at least imagine they haven’t seen you naked.”
Dunham's Girls character Hannah often sheds her clothes in a show that never shies away from nudity. Her modesty was in part preserved for Saturday Night Live, however, with some tactical digital blurring.
“Every show has its thing,” she said at the start. “We have very graphic sex scenes. That’s our thing.”
Dunham later took part in an entertaining sketch based on ABC drama Scandal. Liam Neeson and Jon Hamm also featured on the US variety show, with The National performing live.
