Kim Woodburn has claimed she was “ambushed” on Loose Women, following a huge row with presenters Coleen and Linda Nolan which saw her storm off the set.

The 76-year-old was reunited with Coleen Nolan by ITV after they famously fell out on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2017, with the hope that they would reconcile.

However, the atmosphere soon turned cold as the How Clean Is Your House? star launched a tirade against the panellist – a moment which sparked more than 3,000 Ofcom complaints against the Loose Women panel.

“I’ll never forget what the likes of her and others put me through,” she said on the show, alleging that she was bullied by seven people during her stint on Big Brother. “It was bloody cruel.”

She told Nolan’s fellow panellist Janet Street-Porter, who attempted to calm the situation: “You can think what you like. She’s a horrible person. She’s trash.”

Speaking to The Sun after the show, Woodburn said the altercation was “disgusting” with viewers accusing the panel of "ganging up" on her.

“It was like a circus and I was there for some cruel entertainment,” she said. “I want Coleen and her sister fired.”

An ITV spokesperson said: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for reconciliation with Coleen.

“Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her. She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.”

The episode of Loose Women has since drawn around 480 complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom, according to the Mail Online.

A spokesperson said: “We will assess any complaints under our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
