The TV personality has declared herself to be a massive fan of Netflix’s period romance series, with Penelope Featherington actor Nicola Coughlan informing her of her connection to the show on socialism media.
“As the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings?” Coughlan tweeted, adding: “Because I feel like she should know this.”
In response, Kardashian tweeted that she was “freaking out” and had been sent Coughlan’s original post on her Bridgerton group chat.
“I love you Lady W!!!” she said, in reference to Penelope’s secret identity revealed in the final moments of season one.
Coughlan then replied, “You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know,” calling the reality TV star “Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas”.
“Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the season’s true incomparable [diamond emoji].”
“I will wear this title proudly and not let you down Lady Whistledown!” Kardashian responded.
Shonda Rhimes’s series was a huge success for Netflix, quickly becoming one of its most watched shows of all time.
As well as filming due to begin on the second season, seasons three and four were announced last week.
However, the future seasons of Bridgerton will be without star Regé-Jean Page, who recently shocked fans by announcing that he would not be returning to the show.
Season two will instead focus on Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey.
