Your support makes all the difference.Following mounting allegations of sexual assault made against Kevin Spacey, the actor has been dropped by the high-profile talent agency CAA and his publicist Staci Wolfe.
The announcement comes just hours after Wolfe released a statement on Spacey’s behalf, saying the actor was “taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment.”
Less than a week ago, Anthony Rapp made the initial allegations, telling BuzzFeed News that Spacey made sexual advantages on him when Rapp was just 14.
Since then, actor Roberto Cavazos, filmmaker Tony Montana, and barman Daniel Beal have made accusation against Spacey. Eight members of the House of Cards crew have also made allegations, one accusing Spacey of assault.
Spacey responded to the initial allegations in a controversial statement which read, "I'm beyond horrified to hear this story. I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago."
"But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years.”
Netflix has announced that House of Cards will no longer continue past season six, while production has been ceased on the current series.
