From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Name: Kendra Wilkinson

Age: 29

Occupation: Reality TV star

Relationship status: Married

Phobias: Free fall, and bugs or snakes

Interesting fact: Wilkinson was once a girlfriend of Hugh Hefner

American reality TV star Wilkinson is obviously looking for a slightly difference experience than her previous shows.

These include an E! documentary on her life as one of Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends, followed by a spin-off documenting her upcoming nuptials after she left the playboy mansion.

“I can entertain. I am a party girl. I am a free spirit,” she claims. “I cannot be bored and I always want to have fun. My role is to get everyone to have a good time and not be so serious. I will get the camp to party and dance.”

Despite this she adds she is not fussed about missing out on her beauty products: “I can live in mud for a week. This is a vacation for me to be able to not get my hair and make-up done.”

The former model and reality businesswoman is most concerned about missing her two children, Hank IV and Alijah, saying: “It’s going to be a big struggle for me to be away from the kids for so long. I know it is going to be hard.”

Surviving in the Playboy mansion cannot be a total walk in the park, so maybe this former glamour girl will surprise viewers – and she certainly won’t be a quiet presence in the trees.

I’m A Celebrity will begin on ITV on Sunday 16 November.
