Kaley Cuoco lost out on the prize for Best Actress in a Comedy Series at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards – and she wasted no time in cracking jokes about her defeat.

The Big Bang Theory star, who was nominated for her role as alcoholic air steward Cassie in The Flight Attendant, was listedin the category alongside Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Christina Applegate (Dead to Me), Natasia Demetriou (What We Do in the Shadows), Issa Rae (Insecure) and Catherine O’Hara, who won for her performance in Schitt’s Creek.

Reacting to the news, Cuoco posted an Instagram photo of stylists forcibly removing her makeup and ripping off her designer suit.

The caption said: “Apparently, losers don’t get to keep anything!”

This is not the first time Cuoco has lost out to O’Hara in recent weeks: earlier this month, she was beaten by the actor at the Golden Globes.

She took her defeat on the chin by sharing a good-humoured reaction photo on Instagram.

In the post, she could be seen sitting on the floor clutching a bottle of champagne and a slice of pizza, surrounded by several cakes, macaroni and cheese, the rest of the pizza, and her heels, which she had removed.

“I would like to thank… never mind!” she joked in the caption.
