Your support makes all the difference.John Dunsworth has passed away "peacefully", it has been confirmed, the actor being best known as one of Sunnyvale Trailer Park's most notable residents, supervisor Jim Lahey.
"With heavy and broken hearts the family of John F. Dunsworth would like to let people know that our amazing husband, father and grandfather John Dunsworth has passed away,” Dunsworth's daughter Sarah, who also acted in the show, wrote on Twitter. "John left this world peacefully after a short and unexpected illness."
The Trailer Park Boys themselves responded through their official Twitter account, writing: "We're in shock and heartbroken by the sudden loss of our dear friend John Dunsworth. We respect the family's wishes for privacy at this time."
Dunsworth took a couple of other small TV and film roles but was by far best known as the overbearing, alcoholic and closeted supervisor in Trailer Park Boys, which ran for seven seasons and was revived by Netflix.
A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, he briefly ran for office in the New Democratic Party in the late 1980s.
