From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing has said he likes wearing clothes belonging to his girlfriend as they “feel better”.

The reality TV personality, who is currently competing on BBC series Strictly Come Dancing, said: “I’ve had a moment of realisation, of clarity. I’m going to say it – I like wearing my girlfriend’s shirts.”

He told The Mirror: “They fit better, they look better, they feel better.”

Laing is in a relationship with his fellow Made in Chelsea star Sophie Habboo. The pair have been dating since last year.

The celebrity took to the dancefloor for the first episode of Strictly's new series on Saturday (17 October) with his professional partner Karen Hauer.

He was scheduled to appear on the show for its 2019 edition, but had to pull out due to a foot injury.

His replacement, soap star Kelvin Fletcher, ended up winning the show, with Hauer finishing fourth wth comedian Chris Ramsay.

Laing has appeared on E4 reality show Made in Chelsea since it began in 2011. It's currently on its 20th series.
