Your support makes all the difference.James Corden has called for tighter gun laws in America, following the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.
The Late Late Show host aired a montage of all the previous occasions he has paid tribute to victims on the show in the past.
He said: “We started this show almost four and a half years ago, there have been 1,601 mass shootings, 1,820 deaths, and 6,890 people wounded in those incidents in America.”
James continued: “Until we confront this issue, and our politicians have the moral courage to face the gun epidemic, the only thing that is going to change is the location of the next mass shooting and the number of casualties.”
This was the eighth time he had addressed the issue of gun laws and mass shootings on the show.
James further added: “I hope very much we never have to witness such unnecessary devastation again, because no matter who you are, or where you are, we all want to come home to our loved ones at the end of the day.”
Twenty-two people were killed, and 26 people were injured during a mass shooting at a busy Walmart in El Paso on 3 August.
Just one day later, a gunman opened fire on people at the entrance of a bar in Dayton. 27 people were injured and 9 people were killed.
