Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continued with a fresh batch of contestants, including Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and retired footballer Ian Wright.

Tonight's episode saw American TV personality Caitlyn Jenner and Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway take on the first insect-filled Bushtucker Trial of this year's series.

Confined in a box with nothing but 50,000 insects and 25 rats for company, the pair ended up winning two meals each for their respective camps – good news considering Wright is already getting irate because of the hunger.

Another task later on in the episode saw the main camp – comprised of Coyle, Garraway, singer Myles Stephenson and DJs Adele Roberts and Roman Kemp – attempt to win their luxury items of choice.

A hairbrush, disposable camera and mug fit with a picture of Kemp's girlfriend and dog were among the items that the group lost out on winning, but offering them consolation were the two items they did manage to win: Kate Garraway's concealer and a photo of Loose Women star Jane McDonald, as picked by Adele.

Catch up with all the action from tonight’s episode as it unfolded below.
