Your support makes all the difference.Charlotte Church, the 'Voice of an Angel', has used less than angelic terms to turn down a job as an X Factor judge.
"I got asked to do the X factor job. I'd rather poke my eyes out with sticks than be a part of the machine that kills music," she said via Twitter.
The 27-year-old had reportedly met with X Factor producers but turned the position down after she realised what it would entail.
She said: "I had a meeting to ask about the level of involvement in the creative process I could have, and they basically said none unless it was in line with what was required.
A source from the hit talent contest show told BBC Newsbeat: “We did have an initial meeting with Charlotte but she wasn't offered a role on the panel as we didn't feel [it] was right for the show”
The singer's fame started at the age of 11 when she sang classical music during a telephone interview on ITV’s This Morning.
She went on to release a number of classical albums before having a successful pop career.
For X Factor bosses it has been quite a search, not to find the talent, but for judges to fill the panel.
Sharon Osborne recently returned to join Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger.
Scherzinger and Walsh are both set to leave the show after one more series.
