Harry Styles producing US sitcom inspired by early One Direction days
Starring model Felix Mallard as a young popstar

After conquering the music world with a solo album, Harry Styles has turned his attention towards television.
The American network CBS has announced a new series from the 24-year-old was inspired by his early days with One Direction.
Damon Wayans Jr and Amber Stevens West will star as a married couple in the series – titled Happy Together - whose lives are disrupted as a young pop star (played by model Felix Mallard) comes to live with them.
When Styles first started in One Direction after a stint in X-Factor, he lived with his friend Ben Winston at the house he shared with his wife in the suburbs of London.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine last year, TV producer Winston told how Styles originally said he would be moving into his home for two weeks because a house he liked nearby needed work. But in the end, Styles ended up sleeping on a mattress in the attic for 20 months.
Styles has released a statement on the how, saying: “Although the series is inspired by when Ben and Harry lived together, that’s where the reality ends.
"The show is not based on real life experiences and characters.”
Winston is an executive producer on the Late Late Show With James Corden and will have the same role on Happy Together, CBS said.
Happy Together is due to arrive in autumn and will air at 8.30pm on Mondays, according to the network.
The programme was announced during CBS’s 2018-2019 primetime line-up reveal.
Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, said: “We’ve maintained stability across winning nights, while adding some important new pieces to our Monday night line-up.”
