Harry Potter fans were left overjoyed as the film franchise’s cast reunited online.

Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton hosted the reunion, which saw familiar faces from the wizarding world come together as the film series turned 19.

Daniel Radcliffe – who played Potter – was present for the Instagram reunion as was Rupert Grint, who played his best friend Ron Weasley.

Other actors to attend included Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) as well as James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley).

While appearing on the live stream, Grint recalled a few particular memories from set, most of which included him ruining takes by erupting into giggles.

One scene proved particularly awkward considering its distressing content – the funeral of Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon).

“I remember on Potter it would always be the most inappropriate scenes, like Dumbledore’s funeral was a particularly bad one,” he said.

“For some reason, I found that absolutely hilarious. And yeah, once you start laughing, it’s very hard to stop.”

He also remembered that he had to film his first ever scene with Radcliffe – when their characters meet on the Hogwarts Express – separately as they were unable to look at each other.
