Channel 4 has revealed the new batch of bakers hoping to win this year’s competition, also including a blood courier, a software project manager and a mental health specialist.

As with last series, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will be judging their bakes, while Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding will act as presenters once more.
Sophie Faldo was crowned winner of last year's competition and has enjoyed continued success ever since, working as a pastry chef at a Michelin starred restaurant and becoming an ambassador for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Channel 4 has previously confirmed that the first episode of this year's Bake Off will debut on Tuesday 28 August at 8pm. The series will then air weekly at the same time every Tuesday. Find out more about the new series here.
