Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Channel 4 has posted a preview of the accurately, if prosaically, named Gogglebox: Celebrity Special For Stand Up To Cancer, which will see Jeremy Corbyn, Liam Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Example, Big Narstie, Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and more sound off on TV from the sofa.
As promised, the Labour leader has been paired with W1A's Jessica Hynes, while Sheeran swigs red wine with Example and Big Narstie.
Liam Gallagher follows his somewhat estranged brother Noel in appearing on the show, Noel appearing alongside Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell in 2014.
He'll be sharing a sofa with his mum Peggy and son Gene however, Liam jabbing at Noel on Twitter: "A platform to get mouthy I was asked to do something for charity with my fam not supermodels and squares get a grip as you were LG."
Gogglebox: Celebrity Special For Stand Up To Cancer will air on Channel 4 Friday at 9pm.
