Your support makes all the difference. She is one of Game of Thrones’ most cunning characters, who knows how to manipulate her public image and is keen to climb the social ladder - so it comes as no surprise that Natalie Dormer has compared her character Margaery to Kim Kardashian.
Gifted in the art of manipulation, Margaery bought young King Tommen a kitten in order to wed and bed him, pushing her controlling mother-in-law out of the picture in season five.
And while Tommer Bartheon can't be compared to Kanye West, Margaery's previous husband King Joffrey did enjoy throwing a tantrum or two. Like Kim Kardashian, Margaery has also been married three times.
But it is the reality star’s art at knowing how to appeal to the public that Dormer thinks most relates to her character.
Calling Margaery “the most modern of all the characters in Game of Thrones”, Dormer told The Sunday Express: “She is very much a PR genius. Now she would be one of those It girls, tweeting and Instagramming their latest dresses and raising money for orphanages by running half-marathons.
“She’d be rivalling Kim Kardashian for numbers of followers on Twitter and Instagram!”
Kim Kardashian has shared a few selfies of herself dressed in what look like Game of Thrones-inspired outfits, but she is not known to be an avid fan of the HBO series.
George RR Martin spoke of his disappointment at being left off the guest list to her wedding to Kanye West, tweeting tongue in cheek: “I don’t know why I wasn’t invited, I’m great at weddings…@KimKardashian @kanyewest.”
At least Kimye's union is likely to last much longer than Margaery and Tommen's.
