When faced with a noisy auditorium, the teacher threatened to write the names of all the characters who die in Game of Thrones series three on the board.
After discovering the majority of his students watched Game of Thrones, he said: “Well, I’ve read all the books. If there is too much noise again, I will write the names of the dead on the board.”
Belgian newspaper nieuwsblad.be reports him as saying: “They [the dead] are enough to fill the whole year and I can even describe how they die.”
When some students did not take the threat seriously, he began to write the names of those killed on the board, to the dismay of a 20 students who apparently sighed in disgust.
The class was then silent for the rest of the lesson, according to the pupil who first wrote about the anecdote on French forum danstonchat.com.
The story, which has gone viral on social media, has led to one student calling the unnamed maths teacher a “genius”.
With Game of Thrones returning to our screens soon, the maths teacher will have even more ammunition to silence his class, should he need to again.
