From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Alongside the penultimate episode of Westworld, HBO broadcast a preview of its 2017 programming, including a sneak peak at season seven of Game of Thrones.

However, the footage was never officially uploaded to the internet, until now. Finally, to coincide with the final episode of Westworld, HBO has revealed the footage online.

While only brief, three key characters appear in the quick snippet (which starts at the one minute mark in the above video): Jon, Sansa, and Arya.

As expected, Jon and Sansa remain together in what looks like Winterfell, having just broken through the Bolton forces to take back their home.

What’s more surprising is Arya’s appearance: freed from the Braavos storyline, the young Stark is back in Westeros and on horseback. With sparse skies above and bulky clothing, we can assume she’s heading North, perhaps to meet the other two in Winterfell?

In other Game of Thrones news, Theon actor Alfie Allen recently spoke about his character’s mental state in the upcoming season, describing how he is 'skittish and full of fear’.

Game of Thrones season 7 is expected on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK in summer 2017.
