From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

HBO has posted the trailer for the final episode of Game of Thrones season 7, seeing Cersei, Jaime and Tyrion Lannister finally come face-to-face once more.

So as not to give too much away, there is less narration in the preview than usual, but the following scenes are teased:

Greyworm is seen leading the Unsullied as they create an imposing presence outside King's Landing.

Tyrion, Varys and Theon look on from the boat carrying Jon and Daenerys as it arrives at King's Landing.

The Dothraki join the Unsullied and bolster the Targaryen presence.

Sansa walks the battlements of Winterfell - she looks ominously Grim Reaper-esque, perhaps hinting at death for either herself or Arya.

Theon falls to his knees on the shore.

Jon, Podrick, Tyrion, Jorah, Davos, Brienne and Theon enter the Dragonpit and prepare to introduce their wight prisoner (The Hound doesn't seem to be among the party, so I guess Cleganebowl is on hold?).

Cersei and Jaime meet them, and the atmosphere looks pretty tense (notably, Daenerys isn't seen, though it may be that she enters the scene later).

Jon Snow closes the trailer saying what he's been saying pretty much constantly for two seasons: "There's only one war that matters and it is here."

Note however, that quote's potential double meaning...

Game of Thrones season 7 concludes on HBO, Sky Atlantic and through NOWTV on Sunday night.
