With a presidential election (and Emmy vote) looming, Game of Thrones has established the GOT Party, ‘for those who don’t see their banner on the ballot'.

The mock campaign comes with a dedicated site and promo video, asking fans to vote for a leader.

Daenerys Targaryen has Tyrion Lannister as her running mate, while Jon Snow shares a ticket with Lyanna Mormont. Cersei Lannister runs with Qyburn meanwhile, and Petyr Baelish with Sansa Stark.

“From the Reach to the Stormlands, the Wall to the Arbor - we, the GOT, demand new choices in leadership,” the site proclaims. “The candidates have called their banners. Cast your vote to pick your side in the great wars to come.”

“Visit the site daily during the month of August to cast your vote for the GOT Party candidate. On Sept. 1st, 2016, we will unveil the official Party nominee and running mate.”

It’s all basically Emmy hype, and promotion for the season 6 DVD, but a bit of fun nonetheless.

Jon Snow is currently in the lead followed by Daenerys. She might not be a sensible choice though, as a Game of Thrones writer recently likened her to Hitler.
