From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Game of Thrones has suffered its second leak of season 6, with episode 8 - titled 'No-One' finding its way online.

Fortunately for HBO, the rip seems only to have hit torrenting and streaming sites about two hours before the live transmission, so its impact will be fairly minimal.

The same could not be said for episode 5 - 'The Door' - which went online a whole day early thanks to a slip up at HBO Nordic.

The new leak is in full HD and with the HBO logo clear in the top right-hand corner.

Last year, four full episodes leaked ahead of the season 5 launch, believed to have originated from preview copies. To prevent this happening again (at least in theory), no screeners have been issued to press this year.

After tonight's instalment, there are only two episodes left in season 6, the final instalment being the longest episode in the show's history with a run time of 69 minutes.

We'll let you know more about the origin of the episode 8 leak as and when we hear it. You can watch the show legally on HBO in the US (9pm ET) and on Sky Atlantic in the UK (2am BST).
