Earlier this month, HBO accidentally released the official titles for episodes six and seven of the new season of Game of Thrones. Finally, we have the plot synopsis to go with them.

Episode six is titled ‘Blood of My Blood’ which, as noted by many, seems like a direct reference to the phrase often used by the Dothraki.

At the end of episode four, Khaleesi had just killed the head of the Dothraki tribe, with its people bowing down to her unburnt body. Could she be returning to Mereen with her new army?

The official synopsis reads: “An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce).”

Surprisingly, there’s no reference to the goings on in Essos, but intriguingly ‘an old foe’ is back in the game. It is thought this could very well be Walder Frey, the architect behind the infamous Red Wedding.

Episode seven is titled ‘The Broken Man’, a reference to a fan favourite speech from the books given by Septon Meribald, thought to be played by Ian McShane. It is given before Brienne and Podrick meet The Gravedigger - a character widely rumoured to be Sandor Clean, AKA The Hound.

The official synopsis reads: “The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.”

While there’s no reference to Septon Meribald, Jaime confronting a hero is the most intriguing part - rumours around the return of Blackfish have been circulating. Meanwhile, the North will likely remember that an army of the undead are heading there way soon.

In other Game of Thrones news, episode three and four’s director Dan Sackheim rubbished the popular Pink Letter fan theory. Jonathan Pryce has also hinted at the High Sparrow’s fate.
