Game of Thrones: HBO announces month-long ‘Iron Anniversary’ celebration to mark 10 years since series’ debut
Celebration includes new merchandise, behind-the-scenes videos and a viewing marathon

Your support makes all the difference.A month-long Game of Thrones celebration has been planned by HBO to mark the 10th anniversary of the hit fantasy series’ TV debut.
Referred to as the “Iron Anniversary”, the celebration will include a library of 150 videos which will be added to US streaming subscription service HBO Max.
These will comprise of interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes videos, along with other clips and trailers.
A new Game of Thrones merchandise range is also being launched, which includes a range of Mikkeller beers and a set of Funko Pop figures, as well as a bespoke Fabergé egg worth £1.6m.
HBO2 will also be airing a Game of Thrones marathon (or “MaraThrone”), in which every episode starting from season one will be re-aired, beginning on 10 April.

While Thrones came to an end with the close of its eighth season back in May 2019, there are currently three spin-off series in development, the first of which is called 9 Voyages.
It was also recently announced that the franchise will be adapted into a stage play with the participation of George RR Martin.
The author of the A Song of Ice and Fire novels is collaborating with playwright Duncan MacMillan and Follies director Dominic Cooke on the project, which will be set in Westeros 16 years before the start of the TV series.
