Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Courtney Cox has shared a never-before-seen throwback photo of the Friends cast before the show’s launch, where they are seen enjoying a few last moments of anonymity.

In the picture from 1994, Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer are shown on a private jet to Los Vegas.

Cox, who played Monica on the show, captioned the image: “The one where the six of us went to Vegas and no one knew we were F.R.I.E.N.D.S yet.”

“Look at that! Thanks again Jimmy Burrows. Love you Courteney,” commented Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe.

“This is TOO good!” added fellow actor Reese Witherspoon, while model and actor Poppy Delevigne threw in a simple: “WOW.”

The trip to the City of Sin was apparently arranged as a treat for the cast before their lives were changed forever, as showrunners knew Friends would be a hit.

The cast have remained close since the show ended after its 10th season in 2004, and frequently share “reunion” pictures on one another’s social media.
